For the 4 week period commencing on Saturday 30th August up to Sunday 28th September inclusive there will be no Metro services operating into Wolverhampton St Georges tram stop.
This is to allow for essential pre-planned work to paint the Wishbone Bridge which is situated on the island where the Metro crosses Wolverhampton Ring Road.
Between Saturday 30th August and Tuesday 2nd September all trams will terminate at Priestfield tram stop with a dedicated shuttle bus service operating between Priestfield and Wolverhampton St Georges. Metro services will operate normally between Priestfield and Birmingham Snow Hill tram stops.
From Wednesday 3rd September tram services will be extended to The Royal tram stop with a dedicated shuttle bus service operating between The Royal and Wolverhampton. Metro services will operate normally between The Royal and Birmingham Snow Hill tram stops.
For the duration of the 4 week closure Metro tickets and passes will be accepted on the dedicated shuttle bus service and also on National Express West Midlands buses between Wolverhampton and Priestfield.
