There will be no tram services between Wednesbury Parkway and Birmingham Snow Hill tram stops all day on Sunday 15th June to allow essential engineering work to take place.

Several major items of work need to be carried out including replacement of rails in Hill Top tunnel, replacement of track components at Birmingham Snow Hill and replacement of overhead power cables at Winson Green. A co-ordinated approach is being taken to complete all of this work during one Sunday closure rather than affecting services more than once.

A Sunday closure of the affected part of the Metro route is necessary as is not practicable to carry out these items of work during short overnight periods between end of services on one day and start of services the next day.

A 15 minute service will operate all day between Wolverhampton St George's and Wednesbury Parkway tram stops on Sunday 15th June.
