NEWS: Limited Metro Service Announcement
30/06/2006

Travel Midland Metro would like to inform customers that a limited tram service will be in operation on the 3rd 4th and 5th July 2006.

This limited service has been designed to impact on customers when service demand is it at its weakest. Therefore the maintenance operations that are planned  will do so from 19.30 hrs on Monday 3rd July, Tuesday 4th July, and Wednesday 5th July.

This essential maintenance work will take place between Wolverhampton and Wednesbury Parkway.

Customers using the service during these hours will be directed towards the 79 bus service which will be operating on a 15-20 minute frequency between Wolverhampton Bus Station and Wednesbury Bus Station.

Customers travelling towards Wolverhampton are urged to alight from the tram at Wednesbury Great Western Street tram stop and make there way to Wednesbury Bus Station. Metro tickets and passes will be valid on this bus service.

Phil Bateman Corporate Affairs Director said "TMM need to re-grind the rail track which in turn will ultimately reduce wheel noise and give a smoother more comfortable ride for customers using the service.

It is this essential maintenance that we are addressing, we apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused by the work being undertaken over this three day period."
